Ferry services and boat trips operate from Easter - Sept 30th. They run daily during school holidays and half terms and at weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun) outside these periods.
The services only run when the tide is in; two hours either side of high tide within daylight hours.
The timetable below shows operating times. Each vertical bar represents 15 minutes. Please note that the bar to the left of the white hour line marks the hour, with the three bars to the right of the hour representing 15, 30 and 45 minutes
Blue bars represent ferry crossings, (3 bars=45minutes of service). The ferry service is not bookable and demand led. Our aim is to transfer passengers across the estuary as rapidly as possible. Ferry passengers must disembark from the ferry after crossing and join any queue of people waiting on the opposite side.
Red bars represent trips. Trips are bookable here . There are three types of trip
- Taster trips - last 15 minute and are for those who just want to go on the boat - 1 vertical red bar,
- Estuarine trips - last 45 mins; for those wanting to learn about its rich history and ecology - 3 red bars
- Sunset/Sunrise trips - last 60 mins; for those wanting to wallow in its nature's light shows - 4 red bars
Hover over the red bars to see the time each trip starts - remember at least 3 bars per trip unless Taster or Sunrise/Sunset.
Our timetable is currently being updated. Not all the trips have been added to the timetable. This will be done over the next few days. If you see blue bars only on a date, this means we will be sailing and there will be trips, they have not yet been put onto the website. They may be available on the trip booking page
