This website has been designed to be accessible to as wide an audience as possible.
We know that some people with disabilities find using the web difficult and, whilst it’s impossible to design a site that everyone can use, we are committed to making the web as accessible as possible.

Access to the Ferry
Carmarthen Bay Ferries is a community interest company run by volunteer directors and paid crew. We try to do all we can to be helpful to all who might like to use our services and to make your visit enjoyable.
Due to the nature of our operations, the ferry is not currently directly accessible by wheelchair. Access to the ferry on either side of the estuary includes crossing a sandy beach which may be uneven. The boat is accessed by climbing or descending 5 aluminium steps. There is a handrail on either side.
Once on board there is space for foldable wheelchairs and there are crew on hand if anyone needs assistance with guiding to seats or putting on a lifejacket.
If you have a specific requirement, please contact us beforehand, so that our crew is aware of your visit. We will endeavour to make the necessary arrangements for you.
There are no toilet facilities aboard Glansteffan, but there are public toilets just before the railway crossing to the foreshore in Ferryside, and at the edge of the public beach carpark in Llansteffan. There are disabled toilets in both locations.
